Town House, London

Location: North London

This beautiful roof gardens sits on top of a central London house.

The client, after visiting our Italianate Renaissance garden at RHS Chelsea, was inspired to create an outdoor seating space for the evening, incorporating well-loved pieces of sculpture on the roof, which could also be viewed from the main study in the house.

The garden included a stone cut on a radius with an infinity edge water feature, a structural challenge on a rooftop with a void beneath! The microclimate of central London enabled a Mediterranean planting scheme of cork oak, Italian cypress, osmanthus topiary, lavender, iris and Stachys byzantina.
