Landscape Architect

Romain joined the practice in autumn 2017 having completed a MEng in Landscape Architecture in 2013 and cumulated experiences in design and construction for both public and private spaces since then. He is registered as an accredited ‘Paysagiste Concepteur’ (Landscape Architect) and is authorised to use this official French title. He is currently on his Pathway to Chartership as an Associate Member of the Landscape Institute. Previously, Romain designed a garden at the International Garden Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire 2014, and was awarded 2nd place (out of 26 gardens) in the Plant Palette and Harmonious planting competition. 

Romain brings his creativity and extensive CAD skills to Thomas Hoblyn Garden Design. He has experience in all aspects of landscape design with a particular interest in water and woodland gardens. Native of Normandy, Romain worked as a foreman and landscape technician for a large landscaping company in southern France. He cumulated experiences in landscape and garden design in England assisting the design for small town gardens through to medium to large scale estates.
