Trumpington, Cambridgeshire

Cambridge is the driest city in Western Europe, North of the Pyrenees and so, for a truly low maintenance scheme, I borrowed from the plant palette of Mediterranean France using a mixture carpeting and mounded aromatic plants. Technically, some should not grow in the UK but a combination of naturally low rainfall, a deep layer of gravel and city micro-climate, hardiness has been cheated.
